Print-ready basics

Start with the clearest file you have

We can help identify gaps before anything goes into production. The more accurate the artwork, the more useful the conversation.

File type

The quote form accepts PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF or EPS: up to 3 files, maximum 20 MB each. AI files can also be useful production artwork; contact our team by email for AI or another unsupported upload format.

Resolution

Raster artwork should be supplied as large and clear as possible so the design can be checked at the intended print size.

Transparency

Remove unwanted backgrounds and make sure the file shows exactly what should appear on the garment.

Colour

Keep colour choices intentional and let us know if a particular brand colour matters to the project.

Placement

Include your preferred print position and approximate size, or ask us to recommend a starting point.

Personalisation

For names and numbers, include a tidy list of variations alongside the master artwork.

How to prepare artwork for custom apparel

Start with the original design, not a screenshot. Check that you have permission to reproduce the artwork.
List every garment, print position and approximate finished size. Label front and back files clearly.
Check spelling, names, numbers, colours and unwanted backgrounds before sending the files.
For raster images, provide enough pixels for the intended print size. A DPI label alone cannot add detail; doubling the print width with the same pixels halves the effective DPI.
Send the files with the size and quantity breakdown. Our team reviews suitability for the chosen garment and decoration method before production approval.

For embroidery, artwork also needs to be assessed for stitch detail. Fine lettering or a large printed graphic should not be assumed to work unchanged as a small stitched logo.
